I thought this prompt would be so hard, but it wasn’t. I wrote as it came to me; it’s in no particular order. I can even think of more things to add, which is wild because at first I was like thirty?
I’ve written a previous post on happiness before, and I just want to reiterate that I don’t think happiness is a choice. Life lifes and there are circumstances systemically or socially out of our immediate control and our mental health wavers. Adding a warm beverage to the mix won’t change the pressures, stressors, limitations, and expectations of life, but it could lift your spirits, even a little, if that’s what you like.
What makes us happy also changes. This is what makes me happy now, but the list could change in a couple hours, days, weeks, or years. And that’s okay too because happiness is subjective and is affected by our present circumstances.
This list shows who I am personality wise right now and the types of activities, people, and places I’m drawn to. It really is the “little things” in life, the ones that you don’t think about too much, that make you happy or lift your spirits.
What makes you happy?
