RECAP AND REVIEW

This is a 60 page, fantasy graphic novel, shelved in my local library for kid. So far, there are two other stories following these characters.

It takes a straightforward approach with the overall message I interpreted as living in the moment to create memories and what those memories can be represented by.

The illustration was nice and the story kept me engaged, but again, it’s straightforward and not plot or detail heavy.

Reading the reviews of this, someone commented it was too simple, but not everything needs to be complex or have a deeper unexplained purpose. Someone also claimed that it was diverse for the sake of being diverse, which what does that even mean?

OVERALL

Overall, I enjoyed it and recommend it if you like graphic novels. I don’t feel like rating this because it is short and not intended for me, but it was a cute story and I’ll still read the next two when I can.
