RECAP AND REVIEW

This is a standalone romance erotica told in the first person of both Amara and Nicholas.
It opens up with Amara recently broken up with her ex and moved into an undesirable apartment with her cat. When she gets pulled into Nicholas’s situation as his fiancée, she’s hesitant. I was like girl, what is there to think about? But I respect her sincerity.
This book reminded me how much I enjoy engagement/marriage of convenience and how fun billionaire romances can be. The forced proximity made me smile and kick my feet.
In this book, the attraction was always there between them, but forbidden in a way. I feel like he fell first. In general though, the two fall fast, and are worried about how quickly their agreement is passing by.
Nicholas is obsessed with Amara and does what he can to reassure her of where his interest lies. He’s not afraid to stand up for her and gets jealous easily.
Amara is oblivious to how others see her and needs reassurance a few times.
If you love open door, this is for you 😉.
I enjoyed the rivalry between Nicholas and his scorned brother, who feels like he should’ve gotten the CEO position after their father passed.
I didn’t like so much how often they talked about how this was fake, because I felt like they always had the conversation and where others were nearby could overhear.
