Fallon and Kendrick are in love, even though she’s human and he’s a vampire. She doesn’t really want to be turned because of the chance that it will fail and result in her death. Unfortunately, Kendrick’s parents come to town with an agenda- to tell Kendrick he needs to marry a vampire so he can take over their court.

This is the first book in a novella series. This one is about 90ish pages.

Fallon has become used to living with vampires and their lifestyle. She doesn’t have anyone else, and Kendrick’s gang becomes her close friends. They’re basically family.

The love between Fallon and Kendrick seemed real to me. They understand and know each other well.

THE CLIFFHANGER THOUGH??? Took me by surprise. I went in completely blind and I wasn’t expecting it to take a turn like that. I started the next book immediately after because I was in shock and I needed an explanation.

OVERALL

Overall, I give this a 4.5 out of 5 stars. I read it for the Black vampires and I wasn’t disappointed. It’s a quick read and I recommend it.
