SYNOPSIS

Huda is one of six children beginning high school and trying to find her way.

RECAP AND REVIEW

This is the first book in a graphic novel series about Huda. So far there are three.

This is a humorous, coming-of-age story with a Middle-Eastern lead. Huda was previously known as the “hijabi girl”, but after she moved to a place with more people wearing hijabis, she is looks for more ways to define herself.

This graphic novel is fast-paced, funny, and real. Starting high school and figuring out who you are and what you like is a trip. And dealing with puberty changes on top of it? And racism? 😮‍💨

Tw: Islamophobia, xenophobia, racism, bullying
