RECAP AND REVIEW

Thank you to the author for an ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Out August 4th!

This is a fast-paced urban fantasy romance novella told in the first person of Yena.

I really liked the author’s writing style. It pulled me in and kept my interest.

Yena is a Dharma from the Edjo pantheon, whose role is to test couples relationships after Cupids cause them to fall in love.

Cupids and Dharma’s usually don’t get along, but she meets Shin within the first couple of pages and the spark between them is there instantly.

Yena and Shin have a spicy and magical relationship, where they feel drawn to each other and don’t fight the connection.

The world building in this book was really cool, combining different mythologies, cultures, and creatures. I liked learning about their roles in the Pantheon and their world view.

OVERALL

Overall, I give this a 4 out of 5 stars. I really enjoyed this world and hope we get more within it! The characters were sure of themselves individually in a refreshing way, and they fit well together in multiple ways. 🤭
