RECAP AND REVIEW
Thank you LoveNotes PR and the author for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Happy almost one week of being released!
This is a the second book in sports romance series told in the third person of Frankie and Jasmine.
My review for the first is here.
Jasmine is a single mom with two children, one of which uses a wheelchair majority of the time, who just moved into town. Frankie is the head coach of the local rugby team that recently moved up a league.
Jasmine and Frankie’s attraction is instant. After a great night together, Frankie leaves without saying a word. Things become complicated when her kids join the junior league Frankie and her team train.
Things I loved about this book:
✨ The world of this book and the side characters: I loved seeing Mali and Zach’s relationship again. I loved this side of Ezra. The rugby aspect from Frankie’s perspective was fun. And getting to know Frankie as herself and from Jasmine’s eyes vs. through Zach’s and Mali’s perspective gave a fuller picture into the world. Jasmine’s kids and how they fit into the group was also really cute.
✨ The mental health (bipolar) and disability rep: I loved the care the author put into writing mental illness and disabilities. The discussions of accessibility and the characters thoughtfulness around it was refreshing. Seeing how Ezra and Jasmine navigated through supporting Frankie when needed was so sweet. It choked me up.
✨ The FMCs relationship: They were cute together and though it was a little bumpy at times, I felt the love and desire they had for each other.
What I liked less:
😮💨 The pacing: The story jumped around a lot with things happening off page and it got confusing at some parts.
😮💨 The length: At times, it felt a little bit long.

OVERALL
Overall, I give this a 4 out of 5 stars. I love that this book showed the MCs individual insecurities and how it was a nonissue for the other. I love this world J.S. Jasper created and am excited for what’s next!
