RECAP AND REVIEW
Thank you to the author for an ARC in exchange for an honest review!
Out now!
This is the first book in a potential romance series told in the first person of Anylee.
Anylee is stressed but excited for the moment she has lost sleep over and worked so hard for, only for one of her models to bail. In a tough position and with some liquid courage, she asks her ex to model in the show for her.
I liked Anylee’s models. They had a cool and playful dynamic and were both supportive and appreciative of the opportunity.
I also really liked how crocheting was weaved into the story. As someone who knows nothing about it, I could follow not only how tiresome it can be but also how dedicated and skilled Anylee was with designing and creating pieces.
The romance between Anylee and her ex is a will they, won’t they situation. She needs to focus and he’s a distraction. From the moment they reconnected, it’s clear he’s interested and he does little things throughout to show it. Their romance was cute, and they had dreamy moments, but it was missing backstory for me.
Read for:
🧶 Second chance romance
🧶 He saves the day
🧶 Will they, won’t they
🧶 Her dreams are coming true
🧶 Crocheting FMC
🧶 Island setting
OVERALL
Overall, I give this a 3.5 out of 5 stars. There were times I was amused and times I was like awe. Check it out!
