By the end of the latest podcast episode and blog post, I realized that what I’m really missing is movies and tv shows that make me ✨feel✨ something. Love me an expanded universe, but I also want more original movies and tv shows. Or at least shows that make me feel something 😭is it just me or do you feel like this too?? Tomorrow’s podcast episode and blog post is about adapted and expanded IP and original IP in movies and tv. Wrapping up Wicked week with one more final thought about how I view Glinda as a character. I know that everyone is wicked or no one is wicked and people can cause both good and harm, but with how the *movie* portrays these characters, I think the nuance of it is used as a way not to examine the choices the characters make. It’s hard for me to sympathize with her…I’m sorry 😭 what am I missing?? I wish we got more on screen of their friendship. It would’ve helped me understand Elphaba’s loyalty more!! I just don’t understand how it’s okay that Glinda did that even given the situation😭 it was not very demure 😭😮‍💨 I’ve been holding this in too long and I gotta let it out. The longer I sit with Wicked: For Good, the more I find issues with it, and one of those things is how Glinda’s story is wrapped up.
